This blush and peach wedding in Santorini is undeniably ridiculously beautiful. I am talking about those weddings that are just so… pretty in every way possible. Anna Dedes, the wedding planner from Rosmarin Weddings & Events shared with us: “Lately it happens often that the couple wants to avoid big wedding with lots of guests. In this case, the best solution appears in intimate wedding just for two, when two loving people in an atmosphere of infinite romance pronounce the most important words for each other. That was the story of Inna and Ilya. They chose for the wedding ceremony a small church on a lonely cliff on the most beautiful island on earth – Santorini. Inna, as a perfectionist, wanted to create an unforgettable day. That’s why she has paid great attention to details, decor and color palette. The choice fell on a peach – a gentle, very wedding color, green – we used a lot of ivy, fragrant eucalyptus, which is rich in Santorini, and as a accents – purple, plum. Thin flowing fabrics, exquisite details, vintage dishes and fruit table decoration – all these made style truly gentle and romantic…”
“We wanted our wedding to be at some picturesque place. And what can be more picturesque than Santorini with its unbelievable views?”, the bride mentioned.
“We wanted the wedding to be very intimate, delicate and tender… elegant but at the same time not too strict. So I have chosen peach and white as the main colors with plum and green as accents…”
“My wedding dress was made by Tatiana Doronina. As I couldn’t find my dream dress in shops I decided to have the dress tailor-made. I wanted something light and elegant which I could move in. And I had a perfect gown as the result – a sleeveless chiffon dress with a famine silhouette and beautiful lace details”
The bride shared with us: “We met on Facebook several years ago, but for a quite long period we were just chatting and flirting. Finally in 2012 we met in person and have been inseparable ever since. Our relationship has been filled with love, tenderness, and most importantly faith. I knew he was the man I needed to marry because I could always see myself in his eyes and heart…”
“We had a rather clear idea of what we wanted, but also we had a wonderful wedding planner to help our dreams and ideas come true. Beautiful flower decorations, vintage dishes, amazing fabrics, candles and lanterns – all these made the style of our wedding romantic and gentle. Besides I ordered a few additional things from Etsy – pillowcases with the words from our song on them and the wooden squirrel cuff links as my husband calls me «my squirrel». And thanks to such small details we had a very intimate wedding…”
“If I had to describe our wedding in a word it would be «tenderness». And Fabio Zardi, the florist, choose the most delicate flowers for my bouquet – white peony, light pink eustoma and astilbe, scabioza, campanula in addition to wonderful Austin roses”
“One of the most memorable moments was walking down the stairs to John Legend’s song «All of me» and also seeing Ilia waiting for me at the church…”
The romantic proposal story:“In October 2014 we had gone on vacation to a picturesque ancient Russian town of Murom. We were walking through the historical streets with wooden houses, ancient churches and monasteries… Ilia proposed as we came to the Holy Trinity Convent, which houses a great treasure – the relics of saint Peter and Fevronia. It was very special as for this holy couple is known as patron saints of marriage and family – joined in this earthly life they entered the eternal life also together. And in spite of the horrible weather with strong winds and rain this day remains in my heart as one of the warmest days of my life…”
“Our best decision was to elope to Santorini and to have an intimate wedding just for two. We enjoyed ourselves, our feelings and emotions. And looking back at our wedding there is nothing I would like to change… except it could have lasted longer than one day!”
The bride’s advise: “The practical advice: If you are planning your wedding ceremony in Santorini be ready to walk much up and down the numerous stairs. So it would be good to have a pair of flats to change your heels in a couple of hours. The romantic advice: Try to soak every moment, every detail and every word of the wedding day – it would never happen again…”
