Monemvasia is definitely one of my favorite places in Greece. With the cobblestone streets, the old mansions that have an amazing architecture, the stone walls and the famous castle, it is truthfully a location that could be taken out of a fairytale. And that is exactly what the destination wedding of Theoni and George reminds me of… a true fairytale.
The lovely bride shared with us: “I met George at the university and after a 5 year friendship, 4 years relationship and 3 years of living together under the same roof in London… he proposed. George had planned a romantic weekend outside of London. I could not believe he could keep it a secret, but he actually did…”
“I always wanted my wedding dress to be romantic… My wedding gown was designed by Hayley Paige and I bought it from London. From the very beginning I loved the skirt with the fringes that created a natural A-line, as well all the all the jeweled stones on the back and the shoulders. Although it was the first dress I saw, I couldn’t try it on because it wasn’t available, but when I finally wore it, I instantly knew that it was the one…”
“We chose Monemvasia for our wedding location because it was the place where we spent our first vacation together. We fell in love with the The Kinsterna Hotel from the first time we saw it, and it had all the elements we wanted for our wedding”
“It is tough to pick on our best decision, but for sure, nothing would be the same, if it wasn’t for a three-days destination wedding with the right wedding vendors”
“The final result really was way beyond our expectations, but if we had to pick a few details that we liked the most it would be the wedding string lights above the reception area, the wedding decoration with hay outside the church and the picture frames that were used for the table numbers”, the bride mentioned.
“For the bridal bouquet, I chose white and pink peonies, as well as lavender, which was a flower the groom requested”.
“Since this was going to be a destination wedding in Greece, we wanted it to be a three day wedding celebration so we can spend as much time possible with the people we love. We wanted our wedding to have a romantic, rustic style with pale pink and purple colors. The Kinsterna Hotel is so magical and we made sure that the wedding decoration would highlight the surroundings and blend with the natural colors of the landscape…”
“One of our favorite moments, was when we arrived at the reception area and saw all our friends waiting for us, as well as our first dance”.
