We are featuring today a lovely Greek island wedding bursting at the seams with rustic chic details planned and styled by Santorini Glam Weddings and captured beautifully by Phosart Studio. From the idyllic wedding backdrop to all the shabby chic decor with burlap, craft paper and twine, surely this is just one of those darling destination weddings in Greece you don’t want to miss!
The bride shared with us: “He proposed in our hotel room at Las Vegas, just after midnight! He’d been carrying the ring around the West Coast of the USA for a week waiting for the right moment. We celebrated the next day …we managed to get hold of VIP tickets and a free round of drinks at the Thriller show, thanks to a lovely couple from New York and won on the Black Jack!”
“We had no real color theme just natural textures and neutral colors – burlap, cream/white and olive branches. Very relaxed and of course Greek! Our table layouts were my favorite, before they got destroyed by the storm! We did lots of sketches and went through lots of ideas! The wedding cake was also incredible and tasted as such! My family helped make our lyric hearts as one of the favors – little shabby chic wooden designs with meaningful lyrics from our years together (both family and with groom) so that was definitely extra special”
“I’ve always loved Greece after many trips when I was younger with family and we both wanted to get married abroad. After a trip in 2014 to the island of Santorini, it confirmed that we both loved the setting…”
“My best moment was the final kiss once we’d made our vows and everyone threw confetti, a real celebratory moment with the people we loved around us!”, the lovely bride share with us.
Laura looked ravishing in her ivory strapless Lusan Mandongus wedding dress: “About my gown… it didn’t take me long to find it. I knew I liked Lusan Mandongus designs after the first trip and then after a designer weekend at Grace & Lace in Chelmsford they showed me the dress that I couldn’t resist. I felt like a million dollars, so much detail and intricacy without being too much like a meringue! The veil really made the final finishing touch – and to think I wasn’t going to have one!”
The bride shares her advice for all the brides planning their special wedding day: “Do what makes you and your hubby-to-be happy and the little things add such lovely touches…people (most of the time) DO appreciate attention to detail!”
