The wedding we are featuring today will transport us to the beautiful island of Ios! Stavroula and Sofianos have known each other since their childhood and years later they decided to seal their love with a romantic spring wedding, celebrating their love with close friends and relatives. The bride accompanied by live music walked through the narrow streets of this gorgeous island and met her other half at a picturesque chapel. We loved her retro vintage style; her tea length wedding dress with lace details and embroidery was stunning! Enjoy every single moment of this beautiful spring wedding through the following photos captured beautifully by MindArt!
The bride shared with us: “We met when we were kids. There was always a spark between us and in 2011 we became a couple! We love trips and he proposed during a romantic dinner in the dessert Wadi Rum in Jordan”.
“We got married in May at the church of Evaggelismos tis Theotokou in Ios!”
“For my bridal bouquet I chose white and pink roses, white peonies, lavender and purple sea lavender. The wedding decoration was in the hues of sand, while lavender and purple sea lavender added colour”.
“I would like to say a big thank you to my husband. He was with me from the start to the end. We made all the decisions together, except from the wedding dress of course. We experience it 100%. He helped me more than I could imagine and he proved that I made the right choice. He is my hero and he will always be!”
“For my wedding dresses, I had decided that I wanted a tea length, retro-vintage dress, that will move with me. I found it the first week”.
“Love4weddings was my guide during the planning period. I got a lot of ideas for decorating, organizing and planning the whole wedding! It helped me though all the stages of preparing my wedding. I really helped us regarding planning since we only had 4 months to prepare our wedding and decide the theme and style.”
Bride’s advice: “Create a good action plan and enjoy your wedding”. A few days before our wedding we said “enough, we did the best we could, whatever is meant to be will be, let’s enjoy it”. And so it was. Stress comes out in the photos. Take deep breaths and have some raki. It helps!”
