The bride shared with us: “We met a New Year day’s evening at a bar. He proposed 6 years later at the balcony of my family’s country house in Perdika Thesprotias, where we spend our summers. Giannis cooked, opened a bottle of wine and before we started eating, he proposed by giving me a beautiful ring!”
«We got married at the chapel of Agios Athanasios, in Perdika Thesprotias. The choice was easy, since it is an area we love, and we spent our summers there. Next to the chapel, there is an olive grove, where we had our wedding reception, my husband’s idea. It was a dreamy location. Our wedding took place on the last day of August.”
«For my bridal bouquet and for the floral design we chose bright colors and a wide variety of flowers, such as olive leaves, David Austin roses, Lisianthus, Bouvardia Hypericum, Astilbe, Eryngium and Craspedia”.
“Our wedding decoration was dreamy! We can’t single out favorite details since every single detail was the result of love, work and months of research. Both the church area and the olive grove area played a crucial role in choosing earthy tones for the decoration. The choice of wooden tables for the dinner and for other details was conscious, since we wanted to match the colors and textures of the forest. On the other hand, the bright colors we chose for the flowers created a beautiful contrast and added vividness”.
«If we had to choose only one favorite moment from our wedding, it would be our entrance to the olive grove with our guests. A live music band was playing jazz music while we were relaxing, talking and enjoying amazing welcome drinks and cocktails and finger food from the catering.”
«My advice to future brides is to is eliminate unnecessary stress, to carefully organize everything, to choose the right vendors and to have your partner’s help and support! The couple should do what they really want, since this plays a very important role to the result!”
«If we had to choose something that stood out from the decoration, it will be the lights that adorned and brightened the place creating an incredible romantic and relaxed atmosphere. Another favorite part of our wedding decoration was the entrance to the olive grove, an arch decorated with flowers and handmade macramé, while the Persian carpets on the floor were giving warmth, coziness and a bohemian feeling”.
«My wedding dress is from Max Mara. Off-white, silky with satin details at the bottom of the dress. It has a romantic and aethereal feeling and in combination with its elegant chic design, it made me feel very comfortable and beautiful!”.
