«We got married in summer in Riviera of Athens. We met in 2009 in a university campus, during our studies in Angers: Scott was in the 1st year of engineering school and I in the 1st year of DUT. The very first glance was exchanged within the CROUS (organization in charge of simplifying the daily life of the students). Then, a second meeting at a bus stop, Scott goes to his engineering school and I go to mine. Finally, a third meeting during a meal with several other Gabonese students in a university campus, starts everything. From that moment, we became friends, spent a lot of time together and decided to go through the expression of our romantic feelings, not to leave each other», the bride shared with us.
«I was wearing a pale pink crepe dress made of rhinestone lace mixed with pearls on the side. With a puffed organza sleeve, a detachable train and a mini neckline: this is the one I wanted. I could double use it and dance wonderfully. I wanted style, elegance and practicality. I designed this dress and it was made by an Ivorian designer based in Paris».
«Eddy and I wanted a simple and elegant wedding. We had therefore decided to have a wedding with an elegant decoration in pale pink, gold and green tones. Based on this idea, Xénia our wedding planner from Riviera Blu Events, made us proposals with superb ideas which resulted in what we wanted. The jovial universe of our wedding was aligned with our desire for colors, going on shades of pink, white, gold and green, with a touch of fuchsia. The Riviera Blu Event team knew how to materialize all the chic, elegant decor with the style we had dreamed of. Let’s start with my beautiful bouquet of flowers. It consisted of the following flowers: fuchsia hydrangeas, pink peonies, white and pink lysianthus, pink astilbe, proteas of the Blushing Bride, eucalyptus leaves. The natural flowers were the dominant part of our decoration. There was everywhere: on the beautiful floral arch which attracted the romantic touch and highly appreciated by all the guests. The photos didn’t stop. On the tables, floral arrangements placed along in shades of pink, white with a touch of fuchsia. In addition to the candles put in transparent and golden candlesticks of different heights which have an intimate, romantic and elegant aspect. On La pergola where the hanging flowers were above for a former floral ceiling which pressed the airy touch, of festive freedom was effectively brought to life in our wedding decor. As for our wedding cake, we opted for a marbled effect. It was a desire to go out of the ordinary in terms of the effect, texture and shape of the latter. It in golden gray white color, decorated with wedding flowers in order to stay in the cohesion of the theme and the decoration. As I walked up to the altar, represented by the floral arch, I was moved and filled with joy to see all of this beautiful work provided by our wedding planner. She was able to transcribe and make tangible the vision of our wedding decoration. The setting was beautiful, the atmosphere, the religious celebration wonderful. The fair sleek and classy».
«Personally, I did not manage anything on the organization of the wedding. It is our wedding planner who solicited suppliers and who everything managed. We both enjoyed the time of the religious celebration. When we saw each other: me arriving on the altar and seeing him coming, shedding tears. Then all the preaching of the pastor, our exchange of greetings and the emotion of the guests in tears of joy and dance. If there are any memorable moments to mention, I have to talk about: our moments of preparation with the girls and groomsmen, my entry to the altar, because my husband was very moved to the point of shedding a few tears when he saw me arrive, the moment of celebration (praise and preaching) because several people shed tears and were struck by the pastor’s preaching. Also, the exchange of our vows was another moment of authenticity which allowed us to remember all that we have lived together to reach this point, our festive entries with the honored couples and the opening of the ball because it quickly set the mood in the evening and took all the guests onto the dance floor. It was truly an emotional moment that will forever be etched in our memories».
«The advice I could give to the bride and groom is as follows: Define, respect your budget, because the goal of marriage is not to break the bank. So, we will have to be wise to make concessions when necessary. Have a clear vision for your celebration. Listen to the advice though, don’t let anyone impose their vision on you. Choose with care the people who will surround you during this important moment: providers and honor group (boys and maids of honor). Make tracking charts: time and budget. and follow the work of your providers. Plan a wedding that reflects your values and beliefs. So be you. Communicate well with your future husband: Consult with each other on every aspect. Guess want to eat well and have fun, so set the menu well and choose the music well. Finally, have lots of fun because the day goes by very quickly. So make the most of this moment».
