Kefalonia Weddings planned a gorgeous wedding with glamorous gold details that will leave you utterly smitten! Brace yourself to fall in love with Nick and Rebecca’s wedding day oozing with elegance and romance!
The bride shared with us: “We had a summer wedding in Kefalonia, Greece. We met at our local gym Wakefield CrossFit and spent time training together before we began to date. After a couple of years Nick took me away to the North Yorkshire coast of England, to the place we went on our first ever trip away and he proposed overlooking the sea.”
“We were quite relaxed about the whole styling of the wedding as we knew the venue and location would do the talking. We opted for a blues as our main color and the bouquet was very unique. At our ceremony venue we wanted to keep decor very minimal as the quaint chapel was just so stunning in its raw beauty. Our reception decor was just perfect – candles, dim lighting and blues and golds to compliment the beautiful sunset behind us.”
“I chose my Justin Alexander wedding dress at Off the Peg almost 18 months before the big day and fell completely in love with it when I first saw a photo on Instagram. With the intricate lace detail it was the perfect dress for a Greek wedding. I had to wait 12 months for her to be custom made but it was so worth it. It complemented the setting so well.”
“Just the fact we overcame all the challenges of the pandemic to get to Greece for our wedding as planned, was just magical. We had such a stressful build up but getting married in our dream location with our families by our side was all that mattered. I don’t think we have a favorite moment – the whole day was everything we could have hoped for.”
Bride’s Advice: “Focus on what’s important to you as a couple, be firm on your beliefs and be selfish. The wedding is your day as a couple and trying to keep everyone happy is impossible.”
