“We got married in summer in Oia, Santorini Island. How we met is quite comical. We connected briefly online and were set to meet in person at a fitness competition. The time came, I saw this handsome man across the gym and instantly got cold feet. I was too nervous to speak to him and completely ignored Olivier! His kind heart gave me a second chance. We went on three dates that week and have been inseparable ever since. The proposal was so sweet. I thought we were going to our monthly dinner date with our best friends. On the walk through the park, to the restaurant, we came across a display of photos from when we met. After noticing the photos were of us, I turned around to Olivier on one knee! After I said yes, we were joined by my entire family and close friends for a celebratory dinner”, the bride shared with us.
“The dress! I found my Madi Lane gown at a bridal shop near my home. I wasn’t sure it was going to be able to be packed in my luggage, but I was determined to make it work. I loved that it wasn’t traditional and fit my personality. My favorite detail was the cape style veil I hand crafted myself from scraps of lace after my dress was hemmed”.
“Our wedding decor choices were all directly inspired by Oia and the caldera. We wanted the decor to represent us, as a couple but also compliment the stunning surroundings”.
“My bride arriving to the ceremony and walking down the aisle has to be the best moment. Our ceremony was intimate and special. It is a moment I will never forget!”, the groom shared with us.
“I was following the site Chic & Stylish Weddings to get color and decor ideas”.
Bride’s advice: “Get a wedding planner! Our planner was worth every dime. Not only in the planning process, but on the day of. It was great to just enjoy the day and not worry about anything”.
From Stella & Moscha: “There’s just something so sweet about intimate weddings… one long table, an epic view, and a love to last a lifetime. Sarah and Olivier’s might just be one of our favourites of all season weddings, inspired by Greek authenticity. Nothing says intimate wedding like a private cliff villa overlooking Santorini’s volcano and the Aegean Sea. The entire design is the epitome of effortless elegance. Fragrant whites, deep browns and subtle pops of blue made for the perfect color palette for the modern arrangements. In the warm embrace of the setting sun Sarah and Olivier shared their beautiful vows and as twilight approached they warmed themselves with signature cocktails and an exceptional dinner under the chandeliers warm lights at a cliff-top reception for their families and close friends”.
