The bride shared with us: “We both worked with children with autism at a children’s hospital, we started out as work friends. Cecil is quiet, did not really hang out with people outside of work. I was having a birthday party and invited him to come, he said he would. My girlfriend who worked with him for years said he likes you, he never goes to anything. Well at my birthday party he told me how much he cares about me, we started dating after that night!”
“We moved across the country during our relationship to live near my family. That put me away from my friends back home. He proposed on New Year’s Eve on what I though was a nice night out with my family. We all decided to go out to dinner before we went dancing. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were guided down to a private dining area (which given we were with a lot family I thought nothing of it) well I was wrong! When we turned the corner, all my friends from home and from where I live now were there!”
“He had a lovely woman sing a song from our favorite TV show. It was so wonderful surrounded by all my closest friends and family. And Cecil being somewhat of a private guy I would have never imagined he would do something so public. We spent the rest of the night dancing away! It was magic.”
“My wedding dress was Haley Paige and it was exactly what I envisioned! It was not only the first dress I tried on but literally the first dress I saw. I bought it on the spot. I wanted something modern yet classic, something that fit my bubbly personality, but was also understated enough to let the backdrop of Santorini show! I thought it would never come to life because when I went for my final fitting the seamstress had up and left! No one told me and my dress was absolutely not finished and did not fit correct at all. I was so upset, but another seamstress did amazing work in such little time and I felt the dress was absolutely perfect! My veil was my sisters which was my something borrowed and I loved that we both wore the same veil!”
“The most special moment of my wedding day was seeing my future husband for the first time! My friends and family looked on and he cried like a baby! Just the anticipation of walking up to him was everything! The pictures I feel truly reflect that moment- there is so much joy and genuineness in both our faces I relive that moment over in my head all the time.”
“I always looked at the wedding blog Chic and Stylish Weddings! I loved looking at your blogs for inspiration and color pallets. We wanted our wedding in Santorini to be modern boho and full of texture. It was full of pampas grass, velvet table clothes in blue, gold, white, black and gray hues. I was one of the last of my friends to get married, so we wanted it to be different!”
