“A romantic mountain wedding… that was how we imagined our perfect wedding. Now if we were asked to use only one word that reminds us of our special day it would be… love. We received so much love and affection from the 150 people that were with us on the most important day of our lives! We felt extremely fortunate that they are part of our life!” Agathi, the bride told us.
Agathi and Simeon tied the knot at the gorgeous moutainous destination of Trikala Korinthias. A place the couple truly loves since it was where they vacationed together for the first time. The reception took place at the Pleiades Earth Mountain Resort & Spa and the bride got ready in one of the luxurious suites that had floor-to-ceiling windows …such a calming ambience.
The lovely bride’s advice: “On your wedding what is meant to happen will happen… even if something goes wrong, in the end everything will be fine. There is no need to exaggerate … simplicity can be equally beautiful and unique”.
Agathi and Simeon selected wedding favors that were extremely charming and unique! “We wanted our wedding favors to serve as gifts for our guests. We found wooden boxes with cute thank you notes and filled them with traditional greek koufeta and small glass decorated bottles”.
“I knew from the very beginning that I would find my dream dress at Greek fashion designer Celia D… and that was exactly what happened… A lace wedding dress… veil with lace details for the church…. a bridal hair accessory for the reception… Just like a fairytale…”
Th mountain wedding took place on such a natural and breathtaking location. The bride mentioned about the minimal and chic wedding decoration: “We wanted everything related to the wedding decor to be simple and calm. The mountainous location was so beautiful that too much decoration would definitely take away from its beauty. My favorite elements of the ceremony decoration were the vintage bicycle with aromatic plants and wicker baskets filled with wild flowers”.
The most beautiful moment for Agathi was: “When I was walking towards the church and the bells were ringing… I saw Simeon waiting for me. I could not wait a minute longer to be next to him!”
“We met during post graduate studies at the ALBA Business School. We started out as collegues in the same assignment group, three months later we decided we wanted more… so we ended up being collegues for a lifetime”.
The wedding proposal was utterly romantic and so sweet! Agathi shares with us: “‘I was at a friend’s birthday party and on the same evening Simeon was returning from a business trip. He didn’t make it to the party because (supposedly!) he was very tired. After the party I came back home and he was asleep (supposedly again!) on the sofa. When I went to our room I saw on my pillow a wooden box. I opened it … and well you know what I saw… Before I realized what was going on, he took me in his arms and whispered “Will you be my wife?». That is how he proposed… you know the rest…” Of course we do! The most romantic mountain wedding ever!!!
