This boho wedding in Sifnos is nothing short than beautiful. Daniela and Jonas celebrated their love with family and friends on the gorgeous Greek island of Sifnos. We completely loved how the couple arrived together at the ceremony location on a traditional fishing boat. So unique!

“We got to know each other through work but it wasn’t until I quit working there that we actually started to hang out. We became really good friends at first that eventually evolved into something more…”
“I was studying in Madrid during my last semester and Jonas came to visit me every third weekend. His last visit of my semester happened to be during our 3 year anniversary and that was the day when he proposed to me. He told me to pack my bags because we were going to stay somewhere else for the weekend. There was a car waiting for us outside. I still didn’t know where we were going. The driver stopped in front of a beautiful hotel where he had booked a suit. Well, he really made an effort for this anniversary celebration, I thought. Still had no idea what was going to happen. When we came in to the suit, Jonas started to look around, like he was looking for something. After a long while someone knocked on the door and in came a man with a beautiful bottle of… Something. And some chocolate truffles. “This is strange. It’s not what I ordered” Jonas said. It turned out that this was just a welcoming gesture of the hotel. Minutes went by and I could tell that Jonas started to act like he was stressed. Finally someone knocked on the door again. In came a bottle of champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries. This is amazing, I said. So impressed by Jonas effort for our anniversary. He took my hands and I could tell that he was really nervous. He said something about how I was the best thing that ever happened to him and…. The only think that went through my head was – Is this is really happening(!). Then I hear him say: Will you marry me? YES! I screamed and laughed at the same time. I kissed him and hugged him and my laughter evolved into crying. I was so happy and chocked. I think we both were, to be honest. We popped the champagne and after a while he told me to get ready because we were about to leave soon. When we arrived he had made a reservation at my favorite restaurant in Madrid. We had dinner outside in the patio and it was a magical night…”
“Jonas and his family have been traveling to Sifnos since he was a child and it felt very natural to have the wedding there since we wanted to have a destination wedding”, the bride shared with us.
The bride’s advice: “Don’t be a perfectionist! Enjoy the moment! It’s the happiest day of your life soak it in and don’t think about the details. Everything will sort itself out (or you will not care about it).Another thing – In hindsight I’m very happy that we had a wedding planner. She was the best! We wouldn’t have made it without her. If you have a wedding in a foreign country, a wedding planner is highly recommended!”
“The wedding ceremony and the wedding dinner took place in Herronissos on Sifnos but we had almost a three day event. Casual rehearsal dinner/drinks in Kamares at Fouli (which turned out to be a great party!), the day after we had the ceremony and dinner in Herronissos and the following day we had brunch in Kamares at Stavros Café. Me and Jonas arrived a week before the wedding and during this time we had friends that came to Sifnos every day so it ended up being a full ten day event with people coming and joining us on the island”
“I found inspiration for my wedding from Pinterest, Pinterest and Pinterest! The phrase “Boho wedding” was frequently searched for on my account…”
“The vision was to have it very simple, with natural (light) colors. It turned out to be a bit more greek with blue and white colors. But we were very happy. You have to be very relaxed that things will not turn out to be 100% as you have visioned it, when you plan a wedding from another country”.
“My bridal bouquet had peonies and my bridesmaids had bouquets with baby breath”
“The best moment of our wedding was standing on the dance floor with all our friends and family surrounding us, dancing, jumping, singing along (or should I say screaming along) to the songs and just enjoying that exact moment together. I remember feeling so incredibly happy and blessed…”
