Maria Elena and Bruce had an intimate, gorgeous elopement in Santorini. They chose to tie the knot in this dreamy island because of the romantic atmosphere and the beautiful landscapes and views. As their families and friends are spread across the world, eloping was the perfect choice for them! The ceremony and dinner took place in the terrace of the villa that they rented which had the most breathtaking view ever! Overlooking the deep blue sea these two lovebirds sealed their love, enjoyed a romantic dinner and danced in the middle of a magical floral design in pastel pink and white hues… Get lost in this minimal and fairytale beauty through the following images by Anna Roussos Photography!

“Bruce is from the USA and I am from Ecuador. We both lived in Europe for a while and met at work in Belgium. Eventually, he returned to San Francisco and we were long distance for about a year until I moved there to be with him”, the bride shared with us.

“We wanted our wedding to be very private and intimate, so we had the ceremony and dinner on the terrace of the beautiful villa we rented. Aenaon Villas is absolutely incredible – so white and minimal. The view from the terrace is really breathtaking. As soon as we saw it we knew that we had found the perfect location!”

“We visited many places together, but we never made it to Santorini. We chose to have our special day there because it’s a place that both of us had always wanted to visit, the white washed cliff houses and blue roof churches are so pretty, and the views are unforgettable. We always knew that we didn’t want a big wedding. With our friends and family spread across the world, even planning a small wedding seemed daunting. Eloping was the perfect choice for us!”

“We wanted our elopement to be simple, modern, and minimal. We chose white and blush flowers and lots of greenery. Maria from Tie the Knot in Santorini did an amazing job in bringing our vision to life!”

“We didn’t want to compete with the view, so for our ceremony we had a simple semicircle of flowers that was beautiful and didn’t interrupt the view. It had roses and hydrangeas. Maria also did a great job decorating our dinner table.”

“The whole day was really special. We got to spend the whole day together relaxing, getting ready, taking pictures in beautiful locations around the island and enjoying a romantic dinner for two watching the sunset over the caldera.”

Advice to a bride-to-be: “Invest on a great photographer! You will have the pictures forever. Since we didn’t have any guests, the most important for us was to have nice pictures to show our family and friends. We fell in love with Anna Roussos Photography‘s work as soon as we saw it. Hiring her was one of the first (and best) decisions we made. We love our pictures and get to re-live the day every time we look at them!”
