The incredible beauty of this fairytale woodland wedding at Nestldown captured amazingly by George Pahountis has left us speechless… There is something so undeniably beautiful about exchanging vows in the middle of a forest… and not just any just any kind of forest. We are talking about the magical and enchanting Redwoods…
The images you are about to see look as though they could have been taken out straight out of a fairytale. Seriously.
Naomi describes how Bryan proposed to her: “I was on a family trip over the summer. On July 17, 2014, he flew out and surprised me at Dubai in front of the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa”
“I always wanted a woods venue for my wedding as well as Bryan. When we were dating, I asked him where he wanted to get married and he didn’t know I wanted to get married in the woods and he said woods as well. I knew it was meant to be!”
“Since it is Spring, I really wanted light colors, but with some color. I chose blush and lavender. My bridesmaid’s dresses were lavender, my flowers were peonies that were blush and white and the bridesmaid’s bouquets had some pink and purple in there”
Naomi looking absolutely stunning in her Enzoani wedding gown: a sweetheart A-line wedding dress in tulle with an illusion neckline and beautiful embroidery. The bride told us: “My wedding dress’ designer is Enzoani. I got it at Miosa Bride in Downtown Sacramento, CA. I wanted a unique wedding dress. I fell in love once I put on the dress, I felt like a princess. It had a long train and it had bead work and lace. The back originally was closed up and since the front was closed, I had them alter the dress to open up the back. I always loved low backs and so I had them alter the back for me”
“I really wanted the wedding to be personal. When you enter the venue, my sister and I made a ladder that we made signs on it directing people where everything would be (ceremony, dinner, dancing, etc.) then when you walked down the steps to the ceremony, I had pictures of Bryan and I wrapped around the trees, at the ceremony I had mason jars tied up with twine on the end of each aisle chair filled with flowers. I made reserved signs for close family and friends. I also made the floral headpieces that the flower girls and ring bearer wore, as well as the ring bearer box. My cousin’s kid had a sign around his neck that had last chance to run, I ordered that sign”
“The best moment of our wedding was…seeing Bryan standing at the alter waiting for me and crying…I will remember that moment for the rest of my life”
“Since the wedding was outside in the woods, I wanted it to have a rustic style to it, but as well as style and elegance to it as well. I really wanted it to look like a fairytale”
The bride’s advice: “Don’t stress! I would constantly be stressing every single day. I was so worried about the day and it being perfect. So definitely just relax more and enjoy every moment, because now that it is over, I miss it and really shouldn’t have stressed as much. But also, order everything ahead of time or make it yourself, because you don’t want to stress the week of your wedding about little things that aren’t done or haven’t arrived”
We just simply adore the lilac Jenny Yoo bridesmaid dress with soft tulle. B-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l!
A beautiful rustic detail from the fairytale woodland wedding that caught our attention: a seating chart on rustic window panes!
“Then for the guest book area, I wanted it to be vintage, so we had a typewriter, old telephone, suitcases, and of course the actual guest book of us. Then for the table list, I bought vintage windows, combined them and wrote people’s names on the windows for their seating chart. For the dinner, we had husband and wife signs that we also made and hung it on our chairs. For the tables, I ordered 2 white washed long vintage tables for the head tables that had garland going across the table with peonies and candles”
“For the guest tables, we had a beautiful centerpiece with table numbers that we also made ourselves. We bought picture frames, I put mine and Bryan’s picture inside and on the outside, we wrote the number of the table”
“For the favors, we had honey for the guests. It’s a personal thing between Bryan and I because our nicknames between us is that I am his honey bee and he is my grizzly bear so we though honey would be perfect for the favor and we had Bryan Naomi 5.10.15 Meant To Bee on it”
We asked Naomi to tell us about the best decision she made concerning her wedding: “Best decision was marrying my best friend! Haha! No probably…the venue. I am absolutely so in love with that venue, I didn’t even need that much of decorations because of how beautiful that venue was. I don’t have anything bad to say about anything, absolutely loved our day”
